Environment management

There are several ways to manage your tools on the cluster. While the available environment modules provide readily usable tools, there are cases where you might want to install specific versions.

In these situations, the recommended way is to build singularity images, since they are easily portable to CÉCI clusters and sharable, and improve processing reproducibility. Another widely used solution is to install software through conda.
